A practical post-use carpet-washer routine: empty the recovery tank, rinse approved parts, clear the brush and suction inlet, inspect the float and seals, and dry components properly.
Use a low-foam, machine-compatible carpet-extraction detergent at the specified dilution. Excess foam can trigger the recovery float and interfere with suction.
If carpet stays excessively wet after extraction, check solution application, dry-pass technique, travel speed, dirty-water recovery, detergent foam, and room ventilation.
If a carpet washer sprays solution but does not recover dirty water, inspect the recovery tank, float, lid seal, suction path, foam level, and dry-pass technique.
If a carpet washer runs but does not spray, check the clean-water tank, tank valve, nozzles, priming, detergent, and spray trigger before assuming pump failure.
